End of Year Mass 2025: We are One

End of Year Mass 2024

We closed our year with our End of Year Mass, our Theme for the year has been “Called by Name” Fr Mark Celebrated our Mass which was led by our amazing pupils and included, song, readings, music, and drama. Please also see the attached video which began our Mass unpacking the theme.

Form Saints Masses: Celebrating Faith Through Community

Each year at Our Lady and St Bede, we celebrate the lives and witness of our Form Saints through a series of special Masses. Two houses come together at a time, bringing together all pupils from Years 7–11 who belong to those form saint classes for a joyful and reverent act of worship.

Each Mass is celebrated by one of our parish priests and is entirely pupil-led. Pupils take on a variety of roles—from reading and singing to creating artwork, carrying banners, and leading the offertory—ensuring that the celebration is meaningful and rooted in the faith of our school community.

Our talented Worship Choir leads the music, creating a prayerful and uplifting atmosphere for all. We warmly invite parents and parishioners to attend, and they always do—showing wonderful support and helping to strengthen the vital link between home, school, and parish.

These Masses are a cherished tradition at Our Lady and St Bede, bringing our community together in faith, reflection, and celebration.

Voluntary School Masses: Faith in Action

At Our Lady and St Bede, Mass is offered on every Holy Day of Obligation, giving pupils the opportunity to attend and receive the Eucharist as part of their spiritual life. Pupils from all year groups are invited to sign up and attend, and the response is always strong.

As with all our liturgies, these Masses are pupil-led, with students taking on key ministries including readings, music, and bidding prayers. These celebrations are a meaningful expression of our Catholic identity and offer a quiet moment of prayer, reflection, and unity within the school week.
