Graduating at Newcastle University

Students at Our Lady & St Bede Catholic Academy in Stockton are celebrating an incredible achievement after 14 Year 9 pupils graduated from The Scholars Programme, delivered by The Brilliant Club, at Newcastle University as part of the academy's Lumina Programme.

The graduation marked the successful completion of a challenging academic programme designed to raise aspirations and give pupils an insight into university-style learning.

Embracing Academic Challenge

Throughout the programme, pupils attended university-style tutorials and worked closely with academic tutors to develop their knowledge, critical thinking and independent learning skills.

As part of their studies, each pupil completed a 1,500-word essay, demonstrating commitment, resilience and determination to succeed.

Outstanding Results

The academy is incredibly proud to announce that every participating pupil achieved either a First or a 2:1, an exceptional accomplishment that reflects the hard work and dedication shown throughout the programme.

These outstanding results highlight the pupils' willingness to embrace challenge, aim high and believe in their potential.

Raising Aspirations for the Future

The Scholars Programme has provided a valuable opportunity for pupils to experience higher-level academic study while developing the confidence and skills needed for future success.

Congratulations to all 14 students on this remarkable achievement. You have represented Our Lady & St Bede Catholic Academy brilliantly, and we could not be prouder of everything you have accomplished.
