Service of Remembrance at Our Lady & St. Bede’s – A Spirit-Filled, Pupil-Led Liturgy
At Our Lady & St. Bede's Catholic Academy, our annual Service of Remembrance was a profound moment of unity, reflection, and prayer. The entire school community gathered in stillness to honour the courage and sacrifice of those who gave their lives for others. This year’s liturgy was student-planned and student-led, showcasing the creativity and leadership of our pupils. The service featured a powerful video presentation, a moving performance by our Worship Choir, and a solemn parade by our cadets, each element contributing to an atmosphere of reverence and gratitude.

At Our Lady & St. Bede's Catholic Academy, students enjoyed a fantastic range of educational visits this term. A real highlight was the football trip to the Netherlands, with training sessions, friendly matches, and cultural experiences that built teamwork and international friendships.
‘Pieces of Me’: Launching Our Whole-School Theme at Our Lady & St. Bede’s
At Our Lady & St. Bede's Catholic Academy, we began the academic year with an inspiring whole-school project called ‘Pieces of Me’. This creative initiative invited every form class to take part in a unique task designed to celebrate individuality and community.
Visit of the Papal Nuncio – Strengthening Our Connection to the Universal Church
At Our Lady & St. Bede's Catholic Academy, we were honoured to take part in a truly significant Diocesan event—the Visit of the Papal Nuncio. Thirteen of our Key Stage 3 students joined Bishop Stephen Wright and Fr Cooper for this special occasion, representing our school with pride and reverence.
