Pupils, parents, carers and staff at Our Lady and St Bede Catholic Academy recently joined together in support of Macmillan Cancer Support during a successful Macmillan Coffee Morning.

The event brought the school community together for an important cause, with generous donations and contributions helping to make the morning a great success.

A Fantastic Community Effort

There was a wonderful atmosphere around the academy as families, students and staff gathered to support the fundraiser.

The school extends its sincere thanks to everyone who baked, donated and purchased cakes, helping to raise awareness and support for those affected by cancer.

Reflection and Prayer

Alongside fundraising efforts, the academy took time to reflect on the important work carried out by Macmillan Cancer Support.

Friday morning reflection focused on the charity's mission and the support it provides to individuals and families facing cancer. Later in the day, a special Macmillan Examen was shared across the school, giving pupils and staff an opportunity to pray, reflect and remember those affected by the illness.

Putting Faith into Action

The event was a powerful example of the academy community living out the values of compassion, service and care for others.
