Welcoming Future Pupils
Our Lady & St Bede Catholic Academy was delighted to welcome Year 6 pupils from four Catholic feeder primary schools for its bi-annual Mini Mission.
The day was designed to help pupils begin their transition to secondary school in a supportive and faith-filled environment.
A Day of Activity and Connection
Throughout the day, pupils took part in a wide range of engaging activities, including:
- Music, drama, and dance
- Prayer and reflection
- Opportunities to meet new friends and work together
These experiences allowed pupils to get a real sense of life at the academy while building confidence and forming new connections.
Supporting a Positive Transition
The Mini Mission plays an important role in:
- Helping pupils feel comfortable and confident about moving to secondary school
- Encouraging a sense of belonging within the school community
- Introducing pupils to the academy’s strong faith ethos
It was fantastic to see so much enthusiasm, creativity, and joy throughout the day.
The school looks forward to welcoming these pupils back soon as valued members of the Our Lady & St Bede family.
