Year 11 students at Our Lady and St Bede Catholic Academy were recently given an inspiring boost as they welcomed motivational coach Cameron Parker to school for a day focused on aspiration, resilience and personal growth.
The visit forms part of the academy's commitment to supporting students throughout this important stage of their educational journey.
Encouraging Ambition and Growth
The day began with a powerful assembly for the entire Year 11 cohort, exploring the importance of developing a growth mindset, setting realistic goals and turning ambitions into achievements.
Students were encouraged to think carefully about their future aspirations, the habits needed to achieve success and the mindset required to overcome challenges along the way.
Targeted Support for Students
Following the assembly, Cameron worked with smaller groups of pupils in dedicated intervention sessions.
These sessions focused on developing self-belief, resilience, aspiration and positive thinking, helping students to build the confidence and determination needed as they prepare for key milestones in Year 11.
A Year of Continued Development
The response from students was overwhelmingly positive, with many engaging enthusiastically in discussions and activities throughout the day.
The programme will continue throughout the academic year, with Cameron set to return for a further 11 intervention sessions, providing ongoing support, challenge and motivation for students.
Dream It, Believe It, Achieve It
At Our Lady and St Bede Catholic Academy, aspiration is about more than simply having ambitions. It is about developing the character, confidence and habits needed to turn those ambitions into reality.
The visit marked an exciting beginning to a programme designed to empower Year 11 students as they work towards their goals and prepare for the future.
