Exploring Pope Francis’ Call to Brotherhood and Unity

At Our Lady & St Bede Catholic Academy in Stockton, some of our Year 7 pupils engaged in thoughtful and creative RE work exploring the message of Fratelli Tutti and the legacy of Pope Francis.

They reflected deeply on what it means to live as true brothers and sisters, inspired by his words:
“We are called to live as brothers and sisters, without anyone being excluded.”

Learning Through Compassion, Respect, and Justice

Through discussion and reflective activities, pupils examined how compassion, justice, and respect can shape the way we live each day.
They also explored how faith is something expressed not only in words, but through actions, choices, and the way we treat others.

Growing Together Through Community and Presence

Pope Francis reminds us:
“No one can face life in isolation… we need a community that supports and helps us.”

Our community becomes stronger when we are present together.
Excellent attendance helps pupils learn, grow, support one another, and build friendships that reflect the spirit of Fratelli Tutti.

Together, we belong.
Together, we grow.
